since 1965
Der Klassiker
Bayern Munich × Borussia Dortmund
Why it matters
Germany’s national fixture: the record champions against the people’s club. Bayern’s machine against Dortmund’s academy output makes this the loudest statement game in the Bundesliga.
One fact to know
The rivalry is national, not local — Munich and Dortmund sit 600 km apart.
