Hala Madrid
Short, royal and almost liturgical: “Forward Madrid, and nothing else.” The modern version was written for the 2014 Champions League final.
Hala Madrid, y nada más.
When it is sung
After the club anthem, in the last ten minutes of knockout ties. The Bernabéu whistles the first line and shouts the second.
A club song is not entertainment. It sets the stadium’s tempo, signals to players that the crowd still believes, and in a silent match it can be the only pressure the away team feels.
