The club story

JDT changed the economics of Malaysian football. Backed by the Crown Prince of Johor, they built a private stadium, a residential academy and a scouting network across South America and Europe. Ten consecutive Super League titles between 2014 and 2023 made them the dominant side of the modern era, and their 2024–25 Asian campaign was the deepest run by a Malaysian club in the AFC Champions League Elite.
